Central Podiatry is less than 5 minutes drive from Daventry town centre on the Drayton Fields Industrial Estate. The ground floor practice has no steps and there is guaranteed free and easy car parking in front of the building.
Central Podiatry is headed by Podiatrist Jo Bricknell who graduated with a degree in podiatry from Northampton University in 2003. She is registered with the Health Care Professions Council and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Jo has a wealth of experience working in the NHS, private practice and as a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry at the University of Northampton. She is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Advanced Professional Practice. Her career as a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry at Northampton University involved teaching in all aspects of podiatry. Her specialist areas for teaching being paediatric podiatry and the ‘at risk foot’ which involves managing patients with conditions such as, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and circulatory problems.
She is licensed to administer local anaesthetics for minor operative procedures such as curative ingrowing toenail surgery.
Jo lives with her family locally and is a keen runner and gym user, she also enjoys cooking, baking and walking her dogs.

Pete graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Northampton. He is a member of the College of Podiatry and Health & Care Professions Council and holds additional entitlements to administer local anaesthesia for minor surgery and for the sale and supply of prescription only medicines. He won the Canonbury sponsored Best Primary Research Project in 2019 for his work on the relationship between static and dynamic dorsiflexion of the first metatarsophalangeal joint.
He has gained a wide range of experiences from time at the multidisciplinary diabetes foot clinic at Leicester General Hospital and vascular in-patients and diabetes out-patient clinic at Kings College Hospital, London as well as community podiatry services in Milton Keynes, South Warwickshire and Bedfordshire.
Pete is a keen athlete and competes in triathlon, 10K, half and full marathons. He has provided acute podiatric care to runners as part of the medical team at the London Marathon and has an interest in foot and ankle injuries and their rehabilitation.
Having Type 1 Diabetes himself, Pete also specialises in diabetes care. He has worked with the charity Diabetes UK lobbying Central Government to recognise the importance of diabetic footcare.
