Diabetes & At Risk Feet
Diabetes and conditions affecting the lower limb and foot.
At Central Podiatry diabetic foot assessments are carried out to assess the health status of the lower limb and help prevent complications arising due to diabetes. This includes peripheral vascular, neurological and dermatological assessment, routine treatment, diabetes education and a report back on your foot health status to your GP or Practice Nurse.
Assessment of the circulation in the lower limb is carried out using a Doppler ultrasound. Where abnormalities are detected other tests may be performed to assess the extent of reduced peripheral circulation.
