Verruca Treatment with Cryotherapy using Liquid Nitrogen

Verrucae are a type of wart on the bottom of the feet. Most people will have them at some point in their life. Verrucae are usually harmless and tend to resolve on their own, but this can take months or even years. In some cases it may be necessary to treat if they are uncomfortable or causing embarrassment. Self-treatment at home can help to get rid of verrucae but if over-the-counter treatments haven’t been successful, freezing the verruca with liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy) may be more effective and less time consuming.

Central Podiatry is pleased to offer cryotherapy using liquid nitrogen. This may take a number of sessions, we will monitor and advise the after each application. Please note an assessment is carried before treatment can commence to see if this is the most appropriate way to treat the verruca.

The most appropriate treatment will be decided after an assessment and discussion.
